Housing inflation remained relatively stable at 2.12 % during May 2026, reflecting moderate increases in
rentals and housing-related services. Inflation across other major consumption categories remained
largely contained. However, notable price pressures persisted in Personal Care, Social Protection and
Miscellaneous Goods & Services (18.46 %) and Restaurants & Accommodation Services (5.75 %),
reflecting higher service costs and wage-related pressures. Food & Beverages recorded inflation of 4.55
%, while Education (2.99 %), Clothing & Footwear (2.98 %), Transport (1.75 %), Housing, Water, Electricity,
Gas & Other Fuels (1.73 %), Health (1.49 %), and Information & Communication (0.30 %) registered
comparatively moderate price increases, indicating that inflation remained concentrated in selected
categories rather than broad-based across the consumption basket.
