           The Asian Development Bank noted that inflationary pressures across developing Asia remain relatively
           contained compared with previous years; however, tighter global financial conditions, currency
           depreciation, and volatile capital flows continue to pose upside risks. Higher interest rates have also
           increased borrowing costs, limiting investment and economic activity across several emerging economies.

           Core inflation has proved more persistent than headline inflation in several advanced economies,
           reflecting resilient services inflation and elevated wage growth.
           Global Trade and Supply Chains Face Continued Realignment

           Global trade and supply chains continued to undergo significant realignment during the first half of 2026
           as geopolitical tensions, evolving trade policies, and supply chain diversification strategies reshaped
           international production and investment patterns. According to the World Bank and S&P Global, while
